Accessories are a vital aspect of design and should be selected wisely.  They complement the overall appearance by adding a personal touch and joining the basic components of the design together. An appealing look requires a well-balanced combination of materials and textures, as well as complementary or matching colours. 

Various forms and materials can be utilised in coexistence if they are related in a certain capacity. The coffee table and the side table in this project, for instance, have distinct shapes, but they share the same material and style.  This concept also applies to components with the same shape but different materials.  

 This accent chair makes a statement without overpowering the other pieces of furniture.  It unifies the design and contributes considerably to the space's composition.  

 A sofa is probably going to be used as a focal point and needs to provide more than just an appealing aesthetic. Size and comfort come to mind in conjunction with a sofa which should meet the individual needs of the user.

 A successful design is one that makes it appear as if each piece belongs in the space and complements the adjacent furniture. The most crucial factor, however, is that the final outcome accomplishes all of the client's requirements and desires.
